How The Squad System Works

The Twenty isn't designed to be a solitary experience.

Squads are how members bring saving, skill and the weekly reveal into a shared, social experience.

What is a Squad?

A Squad is a group of up to ten members who join The Twenty together.

You can build your own Squad, invite friends and family, or join one without needing to bring a full group yourself.

Why Squads exist

Skill Test access itself is never Squad-exclusive — every member can take the weekly Skill Test whether they're in a Squad or not.

What a Squad adds is a shared outcome: when one member of a full, active Squad becomes that week's fastest qualifying participant, the rest of the Squad shares in it too.

The Squad Bonus

Under the current model, when a Squad member wins that week's Crack the Vault stage, the other nine members of their Squad share a £5,000 Squad Bonus.

One member takes the headline prize. The other nine don't walk away empty-handed.

What if my Squad isn't full?

A Squad needs all ten places filled and active to qualify for the Squad Bonus.

If a member drops out, the Squad loses access to the Squad Bonus until it's back to ten active members.

This doesn't affect any individual member's own Vault or their own ability to take the Skill Test — only the shared Squad Bonus.

Do I need nine friends to join?

No.

You can start a Squad with whoever you already know and fill the remaining places as you go, or join an existing Squad that has space.

The Twenty's aim is to make the social side additive, not a barrier to entry.

The bigger idea

Saving alone is fine. Saving alongside people you know can be more motivating.

Squads are designed to turn an individual monthly habit into something you build with other people — with a shared reason to celebrate when one of you gets there first.
