How We Verify Every Reveal Is Fair

Every week's reveal produces a public verification page — not a press release, a page that recomputes the actual result from raw server data, available to anyone with the link, no login required.

There's no randomness to hide

Crack the Vault isn't a draw. The winner is whoever actually finished cracking the vault's combination fastest, timed server-side. "Fair" here doesn't mean "trust that a random number generator wasn't rigged" — it means the claimed fastest time can be checked against the raw data and shown to actually be the fastest.

What gets locked in before the race even starts

Everyone who passed all three Skill Test trials that cycle is captured in a permanent, frozen eligibility list the moment the cycle closes — nobody can be quietly added or removed afterward. Every qualifying member's vault attempt is then timestamped from the exact same instant: the fixed weekly window opening, never from whenever they personally opened the page. No one gets a head start.

The server decides your time, not your browser

The start and finish timestamps on a vault attempt are both set server-side — the same server-authoritative approach the Skill Test itself uses for scoring. The moment the final correct digit is submitted, the server records that instant directly; nothing about a member's own device or connection ever gets to report its own finish time.

How ties are broken fairly

A genuine tie on elapsed time is broken using the member's combined Trial 1-3 Skill Test score — a number already locked in before the vault stage even began, days before anyone knew who they'd be tied with. There's no way to game a tiebreak that was decided before the race it's breaking a tie in.

Anyone can check the winner's claim, not just us

The winner's reveal screen shows a scannable QR code and a ledger reference — both point to a public verification page for that specific reveal. That page doesn't just redisplay a stored summary. It goes back to the raw started_at and finished_at timestamps and recomputes the elapsed time itself, live, every time the page loads, then compares that fresh result against what was actually used to decide the winner at the time. If a tiebreak was used, the tiebreak score gets the same treatment. Any mismatch is flagged directly on the page, not hidden.

Take it with you

The same verification page offers a downloadable audit bundle — every timestamp and score shown, as raw data — plus a full PDF audit report, both one click away with no admin access needed. Nothing about verifying a reveal depends on taking our word for it.
