How the £1 Million Prize Works

£1,000,000 is the headline ambition behind The Twenty's weekly reveal.

It's also not something being promised from day one.

The £5 contribution

Under the current model, £5 of each member's monthly £20 contribution supports the weekly prize pool and the wider participation infrastructure that runs it.

As the number of contributing members grows, so does the scale of what the prize pool can eventually support.

Why it's phased, not immediate

A £1,000,000 weekly prize needs real scale behind it.

The Twenty is being built in phases rather than launching that figure on day one:

  • Phase 1: Founding Community — smaller prize events while the platform is tested
  • Phase 2: Growing Prize Structure — prize values scale with participation
  • Phase 3: £1,000,000 Weekly Reveal — the ambition, reached at sufficient scale

What does "sufficient scale" mean?

The exact participation threshold will depend on the final prize structure, operating costs, participation levels and regulatory requirements.

The £1M weekly reveal won't be activated until the economics and infrastructure can support it sustainably.

Why not start at £1,000,000?

Because promising a headline figure before the underlying model can actually support it would be dishonest.

The Twenty would rather grow into the ambition in the open — with smaller, verifiable weekly reveals first — than launch a number it can't yet stand behind.

What stays true at every phase

Regardless of the size of any given week's prize, the underlying mechanics don't change:

Qualification is earned through the Skill Test, not chance.

£15 of your £20 stays in your own Vault, whichever phase The Twenty is in.

The weekly prize is the opportunity. The Vault is the foundation.
